Michaella ManningBiography

When Michaella moved from Redondo Beach, California to Florence, Alabama, the last thing she expected to discover was a budding bellydance community in the heart of the south. Intrigued and excited by the art form, she began an intense study of American Cabaret bellydance with Wiporwil in 1999.

Through natural talent, dedication, and passion, Michaella advanced quickly as a bellydancer, eventually teaching her own classes at the C.O.R.E Center Studio. In 2007 Michaella moved back to her native Los Angeles to study Tribal Fusion bellydance with some of the most talented and beautiful dancers in southern California, including Teresa (Tsingani), Elizabeth Mahina (She'Enedra), Superkate, Heather Shoopman, and April Rose (Bellydance Superstars).

After 12 years of studying Middle Eastern dance, Michaella continues to grow as a dancer, performer, and teacher in both Cabaret and Tribal styles of bellydance. She has been a member of several tribal troupes in the los Angeles area (including Se7en, Medianoche, and the Nautch Project) and is a member of Belly Fusion Los Angeles. Also an accomplished soloist, she performs year-round in Cabaret and Tribal shows at nightclubs, restaurants, parties, weddings, and festivals. She currently resides in Hollywood and loves soaking in all the old time glamour she can find. When she’s not dancing, you can find her at Canters eating latkas and people-watching.
